The Association of Godless Iranians –
AOGI – (Jamiate Iranian Bikhoda) supports the movement for freedom from
religion. It resists the subordination of humans to gods and religious
dogma, and promotes criticism of religion. Our view is that our natural
world is all that there is, and there is no reliable evidence of any God
or any life after death.
We
promote the materialist philosophy and truth-seeking literature. We raise
the banner of human dignity by fighting the forces of ignorance and
superstition.
AOGI
fights for rationalism, secularism, freedom, equality and human rights.
AOGI
promotes freedom of expression, freedom of thought and belief, freedom of
intellectual and scientific inquiry, freedom of conscience and religion –
including the freedom to change one’s religion or belief - and freedom
from religion: the freedom not to believe in any deity.
AOGI
reserves the right to examine the historical foundations of Islam, and to
explain the development of Islam by the normal mechanisms of human
history.
AOGI
supports the victims of religions in general and Islam in
particular.
We
call upon all writers, scientists, activists who fight the forces of
religion and superstition, and all victims of Islam and other religions,
to join our camp and strengthen our movement to free ourselves from
religion and Islam.
